This is the very first picture I took with my new camera, a Panasonic DMC-LX5. It's from the garden at my parent's place, and A'isyah was playing outside.

This is the last picture I took with my previous camera, a Casio EX-V8. It was a nice little camera, but when it gave up on me I decided to try something bigger.

This was taken during a recce visit for work, while researching for my museum renovation project.

"Glass" bridges in The Gardens Mall

Atrium view of bridges

A'isyah loves running across these "glass bridges". Whenever we park at The Gardens, as we make our way to MidValley, she'll ask me if we can cross the bridge. Then she'll run up to one (first floor), tell me to wait on one end (apparently they're fragile - hehe), and then run across. Then from the other end, she'll turn around to me and wave me over.

Muzium Sultan Abu Bakar

Museum Pahang, Pekan, Pahang

A view of the Sultan Abu Bakar Museum in Pekan, Pahang, taken on 2 June 2010. A historical building from the late 19th century, it has been used as the residence of the first British Resident in the State of Pahang, as headquarters for the Japanese Army during the Japanese Occupation, and as the official Palace of the late Sultan Abu Bakar (source: Wikipedia, 8 July 2010).

Pity it's been closed to the public since 2006, due to renovations. It used to be a major tourist draw to the royal town of Pekan.

Petronas Twin Towers at night

Petronas Twin Towers at night

This is what I usually see when I cross the street at the end of the day. And it tends to be this time of the day as well: night.

I had a respite sometime in March, when I could leave the office and it was still light out. That didn't last too long though. And now I'm used to it.

Even after all this time, I still think it's a majestic sight.

Welcome!

This is my little corner of the web for me to highlight and share photos, either ones I took myself, or others I find interesting.  Of course, there are other more specialized methods of photo-sharing; I’d just rather prefer to be “anonymous” about the sharing.  You don’t have to be a node on my social web to see these photos.  But if you’re in my social web, then you may chance upon these pics.

A caveat though: I am neither a photographer by any stretch of the imagination, nor particularly a shutterbug.  Just someone who takes photos every once in a while and who would like to share them.
